Three layers combine to produce highly effective insulation: 1. Top layer is pure wool for comfort against your skin. 2. Middle layer is high tech foam that encapsulates thousands of tiny body heat trapping air bubbles. 3. Bottom layer is made of a NASA type aluminum heat reflector keeps cold from penetrating from the ground and keeps your body heat in. Viva Winter is also an effective orthotic foot support with semi-rigid longitudinal arch and plantar support, metatarsal pad and heel cushion pad.
